We’ve probably heard the expression ‘the human condition.’ While some might define it in a variety of ways, as believers in Christ the human condition is rather simple.

There’s an infinite gap between us and God, a gap that we alone cannot cross. But, we were made to be on the other side.

Christ comes to us on our side to bring us back. It is by his merits that we can cross. But, that doesn’t mean that nothing is required of us. On the contrary, to cross with Christ, to unite ourselves with him, we must be changed, we must be purified. And even this purification process is something that we can’t do alone.

It is God who purifies us, and even when it’s challenging and painful, it is our task to humbly and freely submit to His will.

It is then that we are fit to cross the gap. It is then that we can go home.

Be the Men,

Mark
