When we hear the term ‘prayer warrior’, who do you think of? A little old lady with white hair who always seems to be at the Church?

That might commonly be the (sad) reality, but that’s not how it’s supposed to be. Prayer is meant to be a part of all of our lives. St. Paul goes so far to say that we should pray unceasingly.

While we can’t go zero to sixty today, nevertheless, now’s as good as time as any for all of us to start our journey to become prayer warriors. And, it’s not only for our own sake, but for our families, our church, and our world.

We all know prayer should be a part of our daily routine, but the thought of praying every day for the rest of our lives can seem daunting.

But, as with any long road we take in our lives, all we have to do is pray today.

Pray the Our Father, read the Bible before bed, pray a decade of the Rosary on your commute, conduct an examination of conscience at the end of your day. Just pray.

Make a commitment, a real commitment to pray. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, in reality, it should be manageable. And, pray for God to work in your life, and grant you the strength, grace, and desire to pray.

Be the Men,

Mark
