It seems like every day we are reminded of the darkness present in our world. Even in our own Church, we are not immune to it.
To eradicate this darkness, it must be brought to light. The past few months have helped this process for our Church, but there is certainly more illumination that needs to take place.
As a Church, we must continue to call on the light to drive out the darkness. But, what about our own lives? Where is there darkness that must be called to the light?
Another way to put it, where are we not letting Christ into our lives?
Recall the greatest commandment that Christ told us: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
All your heart, all your soul, all your mind. Nothing held back, nothing kept in the darkness.
What piece of the ‘old self’ are we still holding on to?
