It’s becoming more difficult to profess our faith in public settings. There are so many teachings, so many issues, so many questions – it’s often easier to slink back into the shadows instead of defend the Church.
There are, of course, times when we need to muster the courage to speak up. But, before that, we need to know the answers first!
So, with that, today we have another Be the Men Recommendation…
Catholic Answers (catholic.com) is a lay-run apostolate for Catholic apologetics and evangelization. In other words, it’s a bunch of non-priest people who defend and spread the Catholic faith.
You can visit Catholic.com and browse pretty much any topic and find articles, videos, radio shows, Q&As, etc. The content is phenomenal. So good – it can be overwhelming. So, if you’re looking for a place to start, here are two suggestions.
If there’s an issue that immediately comes to mind that you have always wondered about, go to the Q&A Section here. Search your topic and see what comes up. These articles are focused and to the point.
If you are more interested in a general topic or discussion, or you just want to see Catholic Apologists in action. Check out the radio shows here (they’re also in podcast form on iTunes,etc.). The Open Forum episodes are an hour or two of people calling into the radio show and asking questions. Really good stuff!
If anything jumps out as particularly awesome, don’t be afraid to share it in our Facebook group! (Or, if you’re not on Facebook, email us and we’ll post it)
