In our Parish Chapel, there’s a painting tucked in the front corner behind the organ. It’s a painting of Mary with the inscription: “Just have faith in my son.”
When I’m in the Chapel, I usually sit on that side and see the painting. The image and the quote are simple, and yet so profound.
In good times and bad times, we can heed these words: “Just have faith in my son.” No matter what’s happening around us, we should turn to Christ – for help and guidance, to praise and offer thanks.
This is the foundation of what we believe – Jesus Christ. And, especially when something shakes our beliefs, it’s time to return to that foundation.
So often we feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. The burden is too much.
But, we don’t need to over-complicate it. We just need to turn to him who told us – my yoke is easy and my burden light.
Be the Men,
