Last night, at my monthly men’s group meeting (shoutout), one of our local priests, Fr. Mark (double shoutout), brought up a great question: what are we doing to take care of our souls?

We are created by God as body and soul. Most of us probably take adequate care of our body – watching what we eat, exercising a few times per week, etc. But, what of our soul? Is it something we even think about?

To help us in this endeavour – I have a challenge for you this weekend.

In all Catholic Churches there’s a tabernacle that houses the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus Christ present in the Eucharist.

He’s there, waiting for us to come close to Him – to nourish our souls, to heal our souls.

My challenge for this weekend is to get close to Christ. Get to Mass a few minutes early, or stay a few minutes late. It doesn’t have to be long – simply embrace the silence in His presence, and remember where you are and who you are with.

The creator of the universe, our savior and redeemer wants us. Welcome Him into your soul.

Be the Men,

Mark
