Our Church is facing turbulent times, to say the least. And, in such times, we must remember who the enemy is, who are we fighting against?
Despite what it may seem, the battle lines are the same as they’ve always been – Good versus Evil.
Our fight is with sin and Satan. We must recognize that the Devil is real and he wants to bring down God’s Church. And, he’s been busy.
One of his many tactics is rather simple – division.
If you’re on Facebook, you’ve probably seen this. Catholics are at each other’s throats over condemning the same evil. We’re stuck fighting each other.
I don’t think it’s coincidence that the PA Grand Jury report (surely not the last of its kind) comes at a time when social media is a divisive battleground, worse than it’s ever been.
A house divided will not stand. Christ himself told us this.
We have an enemy. He wants to divide us.
We face a long road ahead, one that will be much more difficult if we’re fighting against ourselves.
We are all members of the Body of Christ. Let us lift each other up, together moving closer to Christ.
